The guys over at Sick Bike Parts have come up with a front motor mount that is all bolt up and no drilling involved. Its innovative but simple and will save you time and a headache when installing your motor in any standard or oversized frame. LARGE Universal front mount is for 1 1/2" (1.5" or 38 mm) up to 2" (51 mm) bike down tube diameters. This unique offset design of the mount allows it to not only fit various down tube sizes and required installation lengths but will also reduce vibration. You can mount it so that it does not greatly increase the length of the front mount from stock or it can be flipped around to increase the length of the front mount. It can also accommodate oval shaped tubes. The bracket is made from HD steel and is powder coated gray. The kit comes with all the necessary hardware for almost any application. We sell two general sizes for tube size - large and small. Within those sizes the mounts are sized to fit both types of engine stud spacing - there are narrow and wide stud spaced engines made in China. The correct mount must be selected. Down tube size means the tube Outer Diameter (O.D.) - the tube sizes are somewhat approximate due to bike tube manufacturing tolerance, paint thickness, etc. Most bikes range from 1.125" to 2.00". Diameter is the distance across or the actual tube size. It means two times the radius. Not the distance around the tube, which is called circumference. Diameter is best measured using a caliper - you can even use a low cost plastic caliper. Also - if you have accurately measured the circumference of your down tube, you can convert to diameter using Pi X D = Circumference. To find Diameter (D) if you know Circumference, divide Circumference by Pi (3.141) or there are on line calculators. As noted also please verify and select the center to center spacing of your engine studs. The two sizes are ~1.6" (~41 mm) and ~1.9" (~51 mm). These are approximate distances because the engine studs may not be perfectly parallel.
