Great kit March 14, 2013 Reviewer: david o. from honolulu, HI United States   Only 4 days after purchase I received the kit all the way in hawaii. Being my first build these guys helped me on the phone work out a couple of bugs, and even sent me a replacement filter since mine was damaged in shipment with no problems. This is a great motor on my lowered cruiser. Not even through break in and this thing flies. I think I have some jealous neighbors now. Planning my next build already. First weekend September 7, 2012 Reviewer: goofyfoot2001 from Tega Cay, SC United States   Well, the first day was trial and error, mostly of the chain alignment.  It started in about 10 minutes and seemed really sluggish and under powered.  I think that it was because of the 16-1 mixture I heard to start with.  i ran that for about a liter or more then eased off to about 20-1.  Where I was taking a fairly steep hill at 15 mph yesterday, today it's 20mph.   The black motor looks so much better than the silver I think.  look for video by searching goofyfoot2001 on youtube here very shortly.   INTO THE SECOND MONTH I put on a DAX RT carb and wow the power!  Still working on the high end of the powerband.  I have had no problems with the kit other than to get another gasket for the exhaust because it was leaking for some reason.  The motor is very quiet now that I know how to caress the throttle.  BUY THIS ENGINE!  motorbycycling.com is that place to get help.  Shipping costs is high here at piston but got my order promptly.  NO COMPLAINTS! It's running rough August 15, 2012 Reviewer: Goofyfoot2001 from Tega Cay, SC United States   Not quite sure why it's running rough yet, generally at slow speed.  Seems almost like it's knocking.  I'm almost convinced to get a different carb.   On another note, I had the bike on the kickstand idling and touched the frame and got the living pee shocked out of me.  I'm assuming because it's grounded to the frame and the kick was down. The bike has real potential but it's just not quite there yet. Was this review helpful to you?

Black Jet January 9, 2012 Reviewer: Tom Greeson from New Orleans, LA United States   Thank you Piston Bike.com, this kit was so easy to put on and the only problem I had was you sent no written instructions or packing list,my shade tree mechanic skills came in handy here,all in all it was simple and I put the kit on in 8 hours and it started right up no problems......I will order another kit soon for my other bike....
